Learnings from my life

The wisdom that years bring into our lives is undeniable, it’s almost impossible to summarize how much you have learnt in your life yet is even harder to choose the things that have the most significance. I have found nevertheless one learning per every year lived across my life

  1. It is necessary to be strong — in character — but it’s more important to be patient.
  2. Resilience is something intrinsic, we need to remember how strong we really are. If you know how to walk you are resilient.
  3. You should treat yourself, and talk to yourself the same way you would treat or talk to your sister, your mother, or your best friend.
  4. If you find excuses to start something, you don’t have enough reasons to do it.
  5. It tooks a lot of time to realize your parent’s wisdom, and a lot of maturity to understand their decisions.
  6. It depends on you if you want to pass a storm crying or laughing, the result will be the same but the process will certainly change what happens after.
  7. When you see a person in the eyes think to whom or what this person is loyal to, if it isn’t aligned to you, your values or objectives, you need to be cautious.
  8. If someone can’t tell that loves you on your face, doesn’t deserve you.
  9. Friendship is about love and respect, if one of them is missing there is no true friendship.
  10. It’s real that you can meet someone and feel that you knew each other from another life.
  11. Feeling dumb is way more scary than feeling alone.
  12. You don’t know how inspiring is humbleness until you experience arrogance.
  13. Some dogs know more of social human behaviour than most humans.
  14. If you don’t learn to embrace your vulnerability, you will never be a good leader.
  15. You don’t know which day is going to be the best day of your life, until you’re living it.
  16. The best form to find out if a person is good or bad is figuring out what decision would they take if can choose between hurting someone or not, even if there’s a mistake involved. If you have doubts about the decision it’s better to keep yourself away.
  17. When you have the habit of being thankful for at least three things daily, you will find it helps to keep your hopes steady.
  18. You have learnt how to talk appropiately when you know how to say the truth without hurting and apologizing without losing power.
  19. There’s nothing as good as grandma’s food.
  20. Sleeping too much is a matter of weakness.
  21. When you say your goals or dreams out loud they automatically seem more achievable. It is a form to come back from heaven, putting both feet on the ground.
  22. It is absolutely true that time heals everything, nevertheless the longer the time passed the harder the healing.
  23. With time you learn to put aside stereotypes and understand that the only thing that matters is sincere and true love.
  24. A good work environment is just as important as a good marriage. You can’t live working in a place where you don’t feel loved, cared and important.
  25. To cultivate the habit of reading has the same importance as healthy eating, exercising and well-being. If someone doesn’t enjoy reading is because they haven’t found an interesting enough topic to be read.
  26. Love and faith work like ghosts, you have to see them to believe in.
  27. No matter how frightening the scenario can be, you should always speak up and tell what you want to.
  28. In the decision making process, the most important part is to do or decide what you feel is the right, no matter how many advises or opinions you have, no-one and nothing will ever give you the mental calmness and peace that your heart will.
  29. It is hard and challenging to learn how to embrace and celebrate uniqueness. Once you learn it the entire world encourages it.
  30. When you — or someone — helps you understand how good you are thus everything you deserve, all stars align to help you feel and be in the right moment and place, to get the things you need to and to become the person you are meant to be.
  31. Manage your life the way you manage a company. Find your mission, vision and objectives, but more important, have your immovable list of values. Whichever the scenario can be, whatever you do, think, or decide, must be aligned to your core values and the result will always be favourable.
